Rae Anne Beard, 2018
Trustee

Rae began involvement with the museum as a docent. She enjoys talking with museum visitors that share stories of the past and what they recall of their past experiences. She’s also enjoyed the special programs, such as the quilt talk, fashion show and bridal program and looks forward to other programs in the future. Being a retired school teacher, she also likes helping with the school groups. Rae Anne adds, “The museum is a great place to find lots of reading materials. When I am working in the museum there is plenty of time to do some historical research in the many newspapers, postcards and folders full of stories. One of my favorite stories is about Sylvia McMillen, the first woman mail carrier. Thanks to all of you that visit the museum and share your stories with me.”
